While on a pilgrimage of Prayag and Kashi, I happened to book my stay in the newly opened 'chhoti kothi' of Prayagraj. The ambience of the place, the spiritual vibes around the precincts and the subtle touch of old heritage and charm took my breath away.
Situated in the Daraganj area, chhoti
kothi has proximity to the Sangam, as
well as some very important temples of 'siddh manyata' like the nag vasuki and dashashvmedh temple. The essence of Prayag can be felt in this part of the city. Chhoti kothi is an architectural wonder of
the yesteryears and contains a old world charm. The rooms have an ethereal feel to it with the presence of lighted coves, wood rafters and old style doors and windows. An aangan open to skylight with a fountain in it's centre has a deep calming effect.
